Rules and Regulations

1. Essay Theme

Please tell us why you deserve to have an enchanting Destination Dream Wedding in beautiful
“Lakes Country” of Northwestern Minnesota, on Saturday, July 4th, 2009.
2. Terms of Grand Prize
Enchanting Events By Melissa LLC, 202 South Townline Road Vergas, Minnesota 56587, agrees to
provide the grand prize package of the “Destination Dream Wedding” limited to the following:
One Hundred Twenty Five (125) Guests including wedding party.
Additional guests are $30/per person

Enchanting Events By Melissa LLC, is not licensed to serve or distribute alcoholic beverages,
and will not accept any liability regarding alcohol consumption.

3. Eligibility

Entrants must be 18 years of age or older and able to enter into a contract in the United States.
Contest judges, and their immediate families, Enchanting Events employees and their
immediate families, and any other individuals involved in the administration of the contest are
ineligible for entry into the contest. Multiple entries by an entrant are allowed and will be charged
separate entry fees.

4. Entry Fee

Entry fee is Thirty Five Dollars ($35) and will be held in escrow by Enchanting Events, By Melissa LLC
at the Vergas State Bank, Vergas, Minnesota. All entries will be deemed received whether or not entry
adheres to technical requirements as presented in contest Rules and Regulations. No refunds will
be made. Contest sponsor, Enchanting Events by Melissa LLC, reserves the right to withdraw from
the contest if a minimum number of entries is not met and will return entry fee of Thirty Five Dollars
($35) less Ten Dollar ($10) processing fee (covers attorney fees, judging fees, and advertising).
Contest sponsor will notify entrant of receipt via email upon confirmation of payment of entry fee.

5. Judging

Names will not appear on essays. Essays will be identified by unique number only. This will be
confidential until major prize winners are announced. Unique number will be assigned by Enchanting
Events By Melissa LLC.

Each entry will be read and evaluated by a panel of three (3) married couples; who have been married
for over 30 years.

Each entry will include entry fee and adherence to payment methods

Essay will be judged on content and creativity

6. Judges

Judges will be appointed by Enchanting Events by Melissa LLC. These individuals will be the sole
authority in selecting the winning essay. These individuals will remain confidential and names will
only be furnished to a public authority upon request within the scope of its jurisdiction.

7. Technical Requirements

Each essay shall contain no more than 300 words in English only. All essays submitted must be
word processed, double spaced, font Times New Roman or Arial, size 12. You must submit three (3)
copies of your essay along with your entry fee.  All essays must be mailed via United States Postal
Service or ground delivery. No electronic submissions of essays will be considered.

Entrants will provide on a word processed title page; full legal name, address, telephone number(s),
and email address.  

Essays must be 300 words or less.
Thirty Five Dollars ($35) entry fee made payable to Enchanting Events by Melissa LLC
Entry fee may be paid by Cashier’s check, Personal Check, or Money Order.
Please do NOT send cash.

Entrants are urged to request verification of delivery of essay and entry fee from postal authority.

8. Deadlines

Entries must be received on or before October 31st, 2008 12:01a.m. Central Standard Time

Entries should be addressed to Enchanting Events By Melissa LLC Wedding Contest.

Enchanting Events By Melissa LLC will not be responsible for lost, late or misdirected entries.

Winner will be announced on November 8th, 2008.
Winning entrant will be contacted via phone with the phone number entrant provided that they are the
grand prize winner on November 8th, 2008 by 10:00 a.m. Central Standard Time.  

Grand Prize winner must accept grand prize on or before November 12th, 2008, 12:01 p.m. Central
Standard Time via email to enchantingevents@govergas.com  

9. Awarding Prizes

Winning entry will be published on the Internet at www.govergas.com/enchantingevents

If winner refuses grand prize, it will be awarded to the first runner up, second runner up, third runner
up, etc… until entrant accepts prize.

Judges will issue a statement as to why entry won on the Internet at www.govergas.
com/enchantingevents

10. Copyright and Publication

Each entry constitutes an assignment, to Enchanting Events By Melissa LLC, of all copyrights arising
under both statutes and the common law and all derivatives thereof. By entering this contest, entrants
grant permission to Enchanting Events By Melissa LLC to publish all or part of the winning essay and
to use winner’s name and likenesses and to publicize the winning entry without royalty or
consideration.

11. State and Federal Regulations

This contest is subject to the provisions of all applicable state and local laws and regulations. This
offer is void where prohibited.

12. Extensions

Contest sponsors reserve the right to extend the deadline of contest entries, determination of the
winning entry, and judges’ statement for one extension period if the minimum number of entries is
not received by the initial deadline, not to exceed 30 days.

13. Prize Redemption

Grand Prize will be redeemed on Saturday, July 4th, 2009. Wedding planning and consultation may
begin immediately after grand prize is announced, subject to availability.

14. Disclaimer

By participating in this contest or accepting any prize that you may win, entrants agree to release
Contest Sponsor, Enchanting Events By Melissa LLC, its owner, the judges appointed by the same,
attorneys, their parent, subsidiary, affiliated and successor companies, respective officers, directors,
agents, representatives and employees from any and all actions, claims, injury, loss or damages
arising in any manor, directly or indirectly, from participation in this contest and/or acceptance or use
of the prizes.

Submission of essay and entry fee constitutes agreement to terms as described in
Contest Rules and Regulations.
